The Tenenbaums were once a celebrated family of prodigies. Royal, the eccentric father, leaves his wife, Etheline, and their three children: Richie, a tennis champion; Chas, a financial genius; and Margot, an award-winning playwright. Years later, each sibling faces personal failures—Richie is lovesick and lost; Chas, grieving and paranoid; and Margot, trapped in an unfulfilling marriage. When Royal reappears, claiming to be terminally ill, he tries to reunite the family and make amends for his past mistakes. The siblings reluctantly return to the family home, and as Royal’s scheming unfolds, long-buried resentments and complex relationships come to light. Despite his flawed intentions, Royal’s presence sparks moments of connection and reconciliation within the fractured family. Together, the Tenenbaums navigate old wounds and rediscover their bonds, growing closer through shared memories, humor, and forgiveness.
